Having received the honor of being named the personal hot spring for the lords of the Maeda family which ruled the Kaga area for centuries, Yamashiro Onsen is a long-standing hot spring inn which boasts an outstanding history of 800 years, spanning over 18 generations.
Here you can savor premium traditional Japanese cuisine, which includes fresh seafood from the Sea of Japan and locally grown vegetables and fruits, together with magnificent tableware created by the world-famous artist Kitaoji Rosanjin.
Additionally, guests can also experience a tour of a Kutani-yaki kiln personally guided by Seika Suda, the famed 4th generation pottery artist who received guidance from Rosanjin. Any piece of tableware or pottery which catches your eye or interest can be used right away for your evening meal at the inn if it is purchased.
